Joanna and Blake are one of those couples that when you meeting them you just have a feeling of peace. They are both such good, I mean pure hearted, good people. Throughout their engagement session the fall prior to their emotional Log Haven wedding day I loved hearing little bits of their story and capturing them. Later, I left feeling excited to capture the wedding in the following spring because of how cute the fall session turned out.
Romantic + Emotional Wedding Day
I was not prepared! While photographing their wedding I couldn’t even handled the amount of emotion that filled the day. Joanna and Blake are pure soulmates, a couple meant for one another. From the way that their families gushed and bonded over their love to the way the two couldn’t take their eyes off one another the whole night. I swear it was as if it was just the two of them surrounded by a bubble of love, laugher and goodness.
It was a full day, from beginning to the end I was with them! We started at their hotel to get ready but finished the details on site at Log Haven they have a small, cute brides room away from the ceremony site so that the groom and guests can wait down in front of the lake, giving the bride her grand entrance. I had a second shooter (Ashley DeHart, who is local to Utah and AMAZING to work with.) during the ceremony and who also captured the cocktail hour while I was with the couple.
Emotional Wedding Ceremony
After the ceremony and private photos the couple joined their guest back at the restaurant/ venue. Their emotional Log Haven wedding later turned into a party! The weather took a slight turn and rained during toasts but that wasn’t going to stop the party! We spent the rest of the evening celebrating the couple and their love! Take a look and love on these two!
