When I think of fairytale love stories, and couples that are just destined to be together, I think of Teresa + Aaron. These two have been together for 10 years, and are so incredibly perfect together. Their Barn at Sycamore Farms wedding day was filled with romantic and unique touches. I’ve gotten to know these two pretty well over the last year, having shot their engagements with Teresa’s horse Fyo, and I’m just obsessed with them.
Let’s talk about all things the Barn at Sycamore Farms wedding! Teresa lost 30 pounds before her wedding day, and she looked STUNNING. She followed tradition and had items for something old, new, borrowed and blue. The something old was her veil, she honored her grandmother, and wore hers! Her something new are her shoes, and she borrowed her sister’s wedding dress! Lastly, her something blue was the hint of blue on her handkerchief. I’m a sucker for special touches like these, and it was just perfect.
The Barn at Sycamore Farms
Throughout their wedding ceremony, at Christ the King Church, we had to be smart about the way we were shooting in the church. It turned out to be pretty difficult, we were only allowed to shoot in 3 places and once we were there, we couldn’t move! We weren’t allowed in the aisle AT ALL. Thankfully I had an incredible second shooter, (shout out to Hannah Wilcox) who was able to crouch down in the first row. She was perched there throughout the entire ceremony! I was only allowed to stay on the left side once I got there, being 34 weeks pregnant at the time, made things even more tricky.
Their ceremony was the thing of dreams and guests couldn’t stop talking about how great it was! Throughout the event, Teresa kept having her guests come up to her to tell her how great her wedding was. It was such a fun way to make the couple feel loved and the event that much more special. Teresa and Aaron rented a trolley to transport the bridal party around to the Barn at Sycamore Farms and it was a party!
Reception Time!
After the breathtaking ceremony, Teresa and Aaron danced the night away with friends and family. The speeches given were hilarious, and got lots of fun commentary from the crowd! The little old ladies in the room kept saying “amen!” and other cute things when they talked about how great the couple is. Not only was the reception full of life and laughter, it was decorated beautifully. They had delicious food, and a live band! The live band was the same one her sister had from her wedding, so they were a hit.
We were able to capture their storybook love story, and I even used my new fisheye lens! Teresa and Aaron ended the night with a fun sparkler exit, surrounded by family and loved ones.
